Barnsley boss Simon Davey has confirmed he will be trying to strengthen his forward line during the current transfer window.
A lack of fire power cost Davey's men against Southampton at the weekend when they created numerous chances but didnt take any and fell to a late strike from the Saints.
Davey will now try and add to the side, he said: "I have got a few irons in the fire and hopefully we will have a face in the building by Wednesday. I need to get one striker in, possibly two.
"We have to react what happens on the pitch, so we will see what happens in the week."
Davey expressed his disappointment with the collapse of the Jamie Ward transfer to Oakwell last week and may try and rescue that deal again.
