Barnsley boss Mark Robins is without the suspended on-loan defender Ryan Shotton for the clash at Middlesbrough.

Shotton was sent off on Saturday at Watford and will sit out the next four matches to add to Robins' problems at the back where Bobby Hassell (groin) and Rob Kozluk (knee) are both absent.

Up front, on loan striker Jay Rodriguez will be looking for a start as will fellow frontmen Jon Macken, Iain Hume who were on the bench at the weekend as were winger Adam Hammill and midfielder Jacob Butterfield.

All are pushing for a place in the side who will look to continue their recent run towards the play-off spots.
