Barnsley boss Mark Robins will again be without defenders Rob Kozluk and Bobby Hassell for tonight's clash with Preston.
Both remain on the sidelines with knee and groin injuries respectively but on the plus front for Robins striker Daniel Bogdanovic could return to the starting line-up.
The Malta international played the second half in Saturday's defeat at Reading after shaking off a knee injury and midfielder Emil Hallfredsson is hoping to return to the side after starting on the substitutes' bench against the Royals.
