Barnsley boss Keith Hill was relieved after seeing his side claim a first point since October 23 with a 1-1 draw at Bolton.

Kevin Davies' first-half strike gave Bolton the lead but it was was cancelled out by Craig Davies' 65th-minute strike from 25 yards.

Hill said: "I'm really pleased with that and I just hope it gives the players a bit more confidence. We're happy with a point with respect to the results we've recently had."

Hill was particularly pleased with the performances of Craig Davies and fellow forward Marcus Tudgay, who arrived on loan from Nottingham Forest this week.

"When you've got a goalscoring threat, the opposition have to respect you," he added.

"We haven't scored enough goals and, with having Craig on the pitch today and Marcus Tudgay, we looked more of a threat. I think it takes the pressure off the team."
