Keeper injury blow

Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele will miss tonight's pre-season friendly against Wigan because of a hamstring injury.

Teenager Kyle Letheren will be in goal at Oakwell but manager Simon Davey is hoping Steele will have overcome his problem before the season gets underway next month.

Barnsly are already without German keeper Heinz Muller who is still a month away from match fitness following knee surgery.

As for tonight's game, Davey said: "The important thing is not to get more injuries while at the same time continue the build-up so that we peak for the start of the season."
