Boss Mark Robins was delighted to see his side get back to winning ways with a 4-1 victory at Preston on Tuesday night.
Robins has accused his side of inconsistencies of late but at Preston they put in a tremendous performance and the manager maintains they would have beaten anyone playing like that.
He said: "I thought we were outstanding from start to finish but we have been threatening it.
"Since the turn of of the year, the results haven't been what we liked but we have reset the bar with that performance.
"We're not going to get carried away because I saw us play against Reading on Saturday and I know how bad we were.
"We're playing Watford at home this weekend and that was my first game in charge.
"My memories of that match are still raw as we were shocking. But the players deserve every credit for that performance."
