Striker stakes claim

BarnsleyBarnsley's teenage striker Jamil Adam has done his cause no harm at all with goals for the first team in recent friendlies.

Two goals against Buxton on Friday and one against Glossop on Saturday have certainly caught the eye but assistant boss Ryan Kidd is trying to keep the pressure off him.

"He's shown an eye for goal, which is very pleasing," Kidd told the Sheffield Star. "But he's a young lad of only 17, he still has to mature physically. It's important that we don't pile too much pressure on him."
