Winger fears allayed for Tykes

BarnsleyBarnsley winger Martin Devaney should be fit for the start of the season despite aggravating an old thigh problem.

The 28-year-old has missed the last two pre-season games - against Buxton and Glossop - and will also sit out this weekend's trip to Yeovil.

Assistant boss Ryan Kidd told the club's website: "Martin will not be rushed back just for this weekend's game. There's no point.

"He aggravated an old thigh injury in training but is now back running and should be fit to go back in with the squad in three or four days."
