Brown seeks crucial finishing touch

NewsPhil Brown feels his Hull side will have to show more of a cutting edge in attacking areas to give themselves a chance of staying up.

The Tigers, one of the pre-season favourites for relegation, have made a solid start to the new campaign with four points from their opening two games.

Following up their opening day win over Fulham, Brown's men picked up an impressive point at Blackburn on Saturday and some fans may be tempted to use their £25 free bet to back the Tigers in their bid to stay in the top flight.

Although they performed well as a unit at Ewood Park, the manager is hoping for a bit more quality at the top end of the pitch, as he now prepares his men to face Wigan at the KC Stadium next Saturday.

Brown stated: "If we continue with that passion, drive, commitment, togetherness, we'll be OK.

"But it does come down to that little bit of quality in the final third. We had opportunities, one or two half-chances, but we wasted them."
