Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has admitted that he is interested in bringing Spurs full-back Gareth Bale to St Andrews.

McLeish has been one of the busiest mangers in previous transfer windows and this title is set to continue with the interest of Bale and many others. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has already hinted that Gareth Bale could be one of many to leave the club and McLeish has conceded that he will be first in line for the Welsh international, if that were the case.

He told Sky Sports: "Gareth Bale is another name we'd have to consider if he was available."

The Blues are looking to bring in a number of quality players as soon as possible in order to get the best preparation ahead of the new campaign, by signing proven Premier League players such as Gareth Bale it looks to be a step in the right direction.
