Lee Clark has revealed that the club has offered defender Paul Robinson a new deal, despite their financial difficulties.

The Blues are open to offers for any of their first-team players in a bid to reduce their wage bill, but veteran left-back Robinson has been offered a new contract to keep him with the club until the end of the season.

The former Bolton defender's current deal ends on Sunday but since joining in September the 34-year-old has made 21 appearances for Birmingham.

Clark was full of praise for the defender, telling the club website: "I've been delighted with Paul both on and off the pitch, but we are where we are financially.

"We'd love him to stay but it's up to Paul and his advisor now whether they accept the offer."

If Robinson doesn't agree the new deal with Blues, his last game for the club will come at Turf Moor on Saturday when City face eighth-placed Burnley.
