Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish will make a move for West Ham keeper Rob Green in he loses Joe Hart in the summer.

Hart has been in outstanding form for the St Andrews' side throughout the campaign and McLeish has stated he is keen to secure Hart's services for another season.

However, it is unclear whether Hart's parent club Manchester City will sanction another season long loan deal and he may return to Eastlands during the summer.

McLeish is keen to solve his goalkeeping situation as soon as possible and has now been linked with a swoop for England international Green.

It has been suggested Green is unsure of his future at Upton Park and could leave the Hammers at the end of the season regardless of whether they survive the drop or not, with Birmingham in pole position to seal a deal.
