Blues wantaway star in demand

The agent of Daniel De Ridder claims there are a number of clubs now interested in signing the player this summer.

Wigan boss Steve Bruce has been heavily linked with a move for the 24-year-old Dutch winger, who is looking to leave the relegated Blues after falling out of favour with boss Alex McLeish last season.

Bruce signed De Ridder when he was in charge at St Andrews last summer and is being heavily tipped to take him to the JJB Stadium. However the former Ajax player's agent Mino Raiola has revealed that other clubs from England and Europe want him.

"There is some interest in Daniel as he is a quality player," Raiola told skysports.com.

"There are clubs in England and abroad who are looking at him.

"We will try and resolve something with Birmingham to suit everyone."
