Blues wrap up Dutch deal

BirminghamBirmingham have completed the signing of Dutch midfielder Kemy Agustien from AZ Alkmaar after he penned a season-long loan deal.

Alex McLeish has been on the look-out for new midfielders after losing Fabrice Muamba, Olivier Kapo and Daniel de Ridder this summer and is delighted to have landed Agustien.

The 21-year-old has cost the Blues an initial £590,000 for the loan, while a £1.57million fee has also been agreed should Birmingham wish to make it a permanent deal come the end of the season.

The Holland Under-21 international can play anywhere across the middle and will add some much-needed versatility to the Blues squad.
