Alex McLeish has admitted he is already plotting his summer transfer targets to further boost his Birmingham squad.
The Scot has been promised considerable funds to spend over the close season from new owner Carson Yeung and he is planning to meet with club officials Michael Dunford and Peter Pannu in the next few weeks to begin to identify targets.
Blues had hoped to sign Roman Pavlyuchenko from Spurs and Ryan Babel from Liverpool last month but the deals never materialised and now attention shifts to who they can land in the summer.
"We will be sitting down with Michael Dunford and Peter Pannu and the scouting staff in the next couple of weeks to discuss the way ahead and we will be getting a list prepared well in advance," the Blues boss told the Birmingham Mail.
"We prepared well for this January window. Unfortunately the ones we really courted we weren't able to bring in."
McLeish added: "So what's done is done and we now concentrate on the remainder of the season and identifying more of the type of players we would like to bring to this football club to help us progress."
