Eck's set-piece frustration

BirminghamAlex McLeish was disappointed with Birmingham's play in the final third in the defeat against Coventry, especially from set-pieces.

The Blues boss saw his side fall to their second home defeat of the season, with former striker Clinton Morrison's 53rd-minute goal proving enough for the Sky Blues to take the points.

Speaking after the game, McLeish said: "I think we deserved a point from the game. But I'm disappointed with our final ball, we were lacking some inspiration.

"We've lost to a set-piece and we could have had five from set-pieces ourselves."

A controversial incident in the second half saw the officials deem that Franck Queudrue's close-range effort had not crossed the line before Ashley Westwood scrambled it clear.

McLeish admitted: "Our chance at the end, I couldn't see if it was over the line and the assistant probably couldn't see it either, so he couldn't really give it."
