Get Kapo, de Ridder tells Bruce

Daniel de Ridder has urged Steve Bruce to return to his old club Birmingham again to sign former team-mate Olivier Kapo.

De Ridder, who only arrived at Wigan himself last week after having his Blues contract cancelled, believes St Andrews favourite Kapo would be a good addition at the JJB.

The former Juventus player can play on the left wing or in a central role and de Ridder says he would welcome him with open arms.

He told the Evening Post: "I have heard the rumours about Kapo. I hope he comes here - he's a great player.

"Let's not get too much into that, but all I would say that if he wants to play for Wigan, then why not?"
