Gold stands firm on star's future

Despite interest from the Premier League, Birmingham chairman David Gold insists Sebastian Larsson will not be sold this summer.

The former Arsenal man was one of the shining lights in Blues disappointing relegation campaign last season and both Newcastle and Blackburn are interested in signing him.

But the Swedish international remains firmly part of Alex McLeish's first-team plans and Birmingham say they have no intention of selling the former Arsenal man.

Speaking to the Sun, Gold revealed: "Seb will leave over my dead body. He's vital to us."
