McLeish blasts Blues display

Alex McLeish has hit out at his players and says too many of them were 'off the boil' as Birmingham lost 1-0 against ten-man QPR.

Birmingham got off to a good start but could not find the back of the net and eventually went a goal behind when Samuel Di Carmine fired home a free kick for the R's in the 54th minute.

This was after the home side had been reduced to 10 men after Mikele Leigertwood had been sent off and the Blues boss was not happy.

"It was a great start, we looked dangerous but that was about the sum total," the gaffer revealed. "I'm disappointed we didn't put more pressure on them with 10 men but they had a bit of a cause.

"But the disappointment for me was the performance level. I can take a defeat but we had too many players off the boil."
