McLeish facing defensive headache

BirminghamAlex McLeish faces a defensive crisis after three of his defenders were ruled out of the game against Coventry on Monday.

The Birmingham boss will be without Stuart Parnaby after he was stretched off against QPR, while David Murphy and Radhi Jaidi remains an absentee.

The Blues physio will assess the fitness of Stephen Kelly as he returns to full fitness but is unlikely to play any part in the game having not seen either first team or reserve action.

McLeish could therefore be forced to start youngster Jared Wilson, who made his first-team debut against QPR after coming on for Parnaby.

Birmingham could also be without Garry O'Connor and Sebastian Larsson, who are both recieving treatment for groin injuries as they look to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to Rangers.
