McLeish ready for Bhoys fight

BirminghamCeltic must make a massive offer if they want Birmingham forward James McFadden, says Blues boss Alex McLeish.

The Scotland star has already admitted he does not want to drop into the Championship with the St Andrews outfit which has alerted the likes of Middlesbrough, West Ham and Aston Villa in the Premier League.

SPL champions Celtic are also credited with an interest in the former Motherwell youngster but McLeish wants to keep hold of the player.

"He'll stay at the club," McLeish told Sky Sports News. "Unless someone comes in with a bid relative to the Manchester United bid for (Cristiano) Ronaldo, then James is going to stay put.

"I think to put it succinctly he's not for sale."
