McLeish reveals summer hopes

BirminghamBirmingham boss Alex McLeish has confirmed he wants to add "two or three more players" to his squad this summer.

The former Scotland manager is gearing up for a promotion push in the Championship and wants enough options because he feels Blues will be the side to beat next term.

"We'll be a big scalp for a lot of other clubs," he told the club's website. "It's not any different from us playing at Arsenal or Man Utd and trying to beat the top teams in the Premier League.

"But if I can get players of the ilk of [Lee] Carsley combined with a lot of the players we already have here then I would be very confident that we can be a force next season.

"But I would just like to add two or three more players to give me peace of mind."
