McLeish seeks home comforts

BirminghamAlex McLeish believes home form will dictate whether Birmingham will bounce straight back up to the Premier League.

Blues have lost just once at St Andrews since McLeish joined the club back in late November and he believes a good run on home soil will hold the key to promotion.

"Every game in the Championship is a big challenge but they are all challenges we're really looking forward to," McLeish told the club's official website.

"In many ways you can do no more than hope for a home game at the start of the campaign - particularly when you have decent home form, as we had last season

"I was happy with the way we played at St. Andrews in the second half of last season and I want to build on that by making our home patch pretty much impregnable this time around."
