Midfielder ponders options

BirminghamWigan and Newcastle reportedly head the race for Birmingham midfielder Olivier Kapo this summer.

Blues are cutting their cloth accordingly after being relegated to the Championship and might be tempted to cash in on the France international.

Latics chief Steve Bruce signed the 27-year-old last summer for the St Andrews outfit so has been linked with a reunion with Kapo at the JJB.

But Magpies chief Kevin Keegan is also looking to bolster his squad and has also been credited with an interest.

Birmingham know Kapo has his price and if they get him off the wage bill it will free up some funds for Alex McLeish to rebuild.
