Roman Pavlyuchenko has a '70-75%' chance of joining Birmingham before the transfer deadline, according to the player's agent.
The 28-year-old Russian hitman was the subject of a failed bid from the Blues at the end of last week and it appeared that they would not return to Tottenham with an improved offer before Monday's 5pm deadline.
However with Pavlyuchenko now even further down the pecking order at White Hart Lane following Eidur Gudjohnsen's arrival on loan for the rest of the season, his agent Dr Oliver Wendt has not closed the door to a last minute switch to St Andrews.
He told ESPN: "We are talking to Birmingham and the problem is the transfer money.
"Both clubs are talking about money right now and I hope they find a way and Roman will move to Birmingham.
"I hope it will be done in the next two or three hours. I think 70% it will be done.
"You never know, something in the last minute something might happen. It is 70-75%."
