Pearson pulls out of loan

BirminghamDerby midfielder Stephen Pearson has rejected a proposed loan move to Birmingham, according to reports.

The Scotland international had agreed personal terms, after the two clubs had agreed a fee, but the move was then cast in doubt after it emerged Pearson has a groin injury.

Blues then pulled back on their £600,000 offer and agreed an initial loan deal with Derby, with manager Alex McLeish confirming: "It's on hold. It's now up to him if he wants it done that way. We will wait and see."

However, Pearson has rejected the loan offer and will stay with Derby for treatment on his groin problem.
