Veteran Kevin Phillips is poised to replace injured striker Christian Benitez in Birmingham's starting line-up at West Ham tonight.

Phillips is in line to partner Cameron Jerome in attack after coming off the substitutes bench to score twice against Wolves on Sunday as Blues boss Alex McLeish is forced to change his line-up for the first time in 13 matches.

Benitez suffered an ankle injury in a clash with Wolves keeper Marcus Hahnemann at the weekend but McLeish is optimistic that he won't be out of action for too long.

Stuart Parnaby, Lee Carsley and Garry O'Connor remain on the sidelines with long-term injuries.
