On-loan striker Wes Thomas wants to make his move to Birmingham permanent.

The 26-year-old signed from npower League One Bournemouth until the end of the season on transfer deadline day and made his debut in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

The former Cheltenham striker scored three goals for both Portsmouth and Blackpool during earlier loan spells this season but now wants to settle at St Andrew's.

He told BBC WM: "It comes down to how I perform. Hopefully I can put in the results to win a contract here.

"I would be buzzing if I was able to stay here.

"I think if this club can sort out the problems it's got, it would be a massive club to sign for."
