Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce says he is happy with the squad he has got after missing out on Aruna Dindane and Benjani.
Allardyce was hoping to draft in a new striker after losing Benni McCarthy to West Ham and he held talks with both Benjani and Dindane in an attempt to get at least one of them to Ewood Park.
However Benjani was the first to collapse and the Manchester City striker is still hoping to secure a move to Sunderland, while the Dindane deal also fell through just before the deadline.
Despite the double setback, Allardyce is not too downbeat and is happy to go with what he has got.
"You never want to be in a panic situation because it is then you make the worst selections and the worst choices. We were not in a panic," he revealed.
"I am very comfortable with the squad, we are improving, we have put ourselves in a reasonable position in the league but we have to go further than that and continue to pick the points up.
"If no other player came our way, I was very content with the squad we have got."
