Jason Brown has urged Blackburn manager Paul Ince to stick with him for the glamour visit of champions Manchester United on Saturday.
The former Gillingham goalkeeper was given his first top-flight start in Saturday's 2-1 win at Newcastle and could again be between the posts at Ewood for the clash against Sir Alex Ferguson's star-studded side because number one Paul Robinson is struggling with a calf injury.
Brown, 26, told the Lancashire Telegraph: "You have to look forward to it because I don't know how long it will last for.
"I can't take anything for granted and of course I would love to be playing against Manchester United.
"We will feel confident as well. We did not play particularly great on Saturday but if we can up it 10 to 15 per cent, we will have a chance.
"It was fantastic for me as a player to play at a club like Newcastle, in front of 50,000 fans, it was unbelievable.
"It is a shame for Robbo but I have to think of my career and hopefully I can stay in the team."
