Steve Kean is hoping that defender Gael Givet will shake off a hamstring injury for Blackburn's visit of Manchester United on Monday.
The Rovers' chief has two extra days over the weekend to prepare his squad for their clash with title-chasing United as they look to do an unlikely Premier League double over Sir Alex Ferguson's men following the 3-2 win at Old Trafford on New Year's Eve. However, Kean revealed on Friday that French stopper, Givet, is still battling to be fit after he missed last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Bolton, while Jason Lowe is fit despite suffering a broken hand at the Reebok Stadium.
"Gael Givet is going to be touch and go because he has a hamstring strain," said Kean on the club's website.
"He's not responding as quickly as we thought so he will be 50-50.
"Everybody else is fit even though Jason Lowe broke his hand and played on against Bolton but he's going to be fine, he's a tough boy."
Rovers have been unchanged for the past three games, but Kean confirmed that he could make some changes for United.
He added: "There's a temptation, we'll look at all the different options we have, we'll assess the players very closely, we monitor them all through the weekend."
