Gunners target Rovers ace

Arsenal are again being linked with a swoop for Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz as doubts surround Emmanuel Adebayor's future.

The Gunners are reportedly ready to cash in on the Togo international as he stalls on penning a new deal and Santa Cruz will be a target if they decide to let him move on.

Adebayor is after a bumper pay rise and with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refusing to meet his demands, he could be on his way to either AC Milan or Barcelona for £30million.

Wenger is known to be keen on Santa Cruz as a replacement and Rovers could face a battle to keep hold if the Frenchman makes an approach over the next few weeks.
