Ince eyes double swoop

Paul Ince says Blackburn are targeting two new signings before the transfer window closes at the end of August.

The manager will hand a list of potential targets to John Williams this week, when the chairman returns from holiday, and is hoping to bring in two new faces this summer.

Ince has stated though that he intends to give everyone in the current squad the chance to prove themselves, with the players due back for pre-season training next week.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Ince said: "It's important for me to take stock of the squad when the players return for pre-season training on July 7, and then we can go from there.

"Obviously, I'd like to bring in one or two new acquisitions because that would help to freshen things up, which I feel is important. At this moment in time, there's nothing concrete to report."
