Blackburn Rovers are believed to considering a summer approach for Napoli defender Ignacio Fideleff.

Manager Steve Kean has been urged to take a look at the 22-year-old by Rovers striker Mauro Formica, who played alongside him at Newell's Old Boys.

Fideleff is seeking a move away from the Italian side after struggling to get much game time this season and according to sources in Naples, Rovers are very interested.

His agent Pedro Aldave has reportedly already held tentative talks with the club about a switch to Ewood Park but the deal will hinge on whether Kean can keep his side in the Premier League.

It's thought Rovers are looking to take the player on loan first before pressing ahead with any plans to sign him permanently.

He joined the Serie A outfit last summer from Old Boys for a fee of £1.8m but has played only four times for them so far.
