Blackburn face strong competition for Austrian striker Marc Janko if Paul Ince pursues a deal for the player in January.

Ince is keen on the 25-year-old as doubts surround the future of Rogue Santa Cruz, who is a target for Manchester City, and he has sent scouts to watch him on numerous occasions.

Janko has scored an amazing 29 goals for his club Red Bull Salzburg in Austria this season and his form has also alerted the likes of AS Roma, Hertha Berlin and Bayern Munich.

Ince may struggle to convince the 6ft 3in star to snub those clubs for a move to Ewood Park but he hopes the chance to play week in, week out in the Premiership would sway him.
