Rovers linked with swap deal

Blackburn defender Stephen Warnock is being linked with Everton in a deal that would see Leighton Baines move the other way.

Warnock has already been linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer but Rovers are keen to keep hold and have knocked back all interest in the player.

Now reports claim Everton want the former Liverpool man and will offer Baines as part of the deal, despite the fact they only signed him from Wigan last summer.

Baines has struggled through injury since Everton snapped him up from Wigan, but it remains to be seen if there is any truth in rumours of a swap deal.
