Veteran Dutchman Bolo Zenden has been spotted at Blackburn's training facilities and could be offered a short-term deal by the Rovers.

Reports in the Lancashire Telegraph claim Zenden visited Blackburn's Brockhall training facilities on Tuesday in a bid to earn a deal at Ewood Park.

The 35-year-old midfielder has been without a club since leaving Sunderland at the end of last season, but Rovers boss Steve Kean may hand him a short-term deal.

The Rovers are currently 17th in the Premier League table and are only outside of the bottom three by virtue of a superior goal-difference.

Former Dutch international Zenden, who has previously played for Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Middlesbrough and Marseille, could add some valuable experience to Kean's midfield as he seeks to guide Blackburn to safety.
