Rovers reject Magpies bid

Blackburn are reported to have thrown out a bid of £4million from Newcastle for defender Stephen Warnock.

Magpies boss Kevin Keegan is known to be an admirer of Warnock, but Rovers do not want to sell the former Liverpool man and are doing all they can to keep hold.

Warnock handed in a transfer request earlier this summer but Rovers will only let him go at the right price and Newcastle are some way short of their valuation.

Newcastle are now reported to have made a third bid of around £4million but Rovers insist that is not enough.
