Rovers target Serie A swoop

BlackburnBlackburn boss Paul Ince is being linked with a raid on Palermo for Australia star Mark Bresciano but faces strong competition.

Manchester City, West Ham and Fulham are also said to be keen on the player and Ince will face a battle for his signature if he decides to pursue a swoop.

Reports claim the Italians are set to allow the 28-year-old midfielder to move on this summer - 12 months after his proposed switch to Eastlands broke down over the structuring of payments, and the battle for his signature is on.

Bresciano's versatility is a big attraction for his Premier League suitors given the fact he can play anywhere across midfield and also as a support striker.

The Melbourne-born star would cost in the region of £5m which would be no problem for Rovers.
