Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba is believed to be hoping for a move to Arsenal as he looks to quit Ewood Park.
The Congo international has been enraged by Blackburn's decision to get rid of Sam Allardyce as manager, instead replacing him with Steve Kean for the rest of the season.
Samba has twice revealed he wants to leave Ewood Park and has reportedly said he would love a move to Arsenal, claiming he would choose them over other interested parties Chelsea and Tottenham.
The Gunners are understood to be in the market for another centre-half as Thomas Vermaelen is making slow progress as he recovers from his recent Achilles injury.
Samba is, however, not thought to be Arsene Wenger's first choice, with his preferred target believed to be Bolton's Gary Cahill.
