Baptiste bothered by draws

Alex Baptiste insists Blackpool must turn results like Saturday's 2-2 draw against Bolton into wins if they are to get their promotion challenge back on track.

Michael Appleton took charge of the Seasiders for the first time at the weekend and watched his men twice come from behind to earn a point.

But Baptiste, who was named the npower Championship player of the year at the North West Football Awards on Monday night, insists last season's defeated play-off finalists need to string together a run of victories having won just once in their past seven outings.

Asked whether he was happy with the point, the defender told Press Association Sport: "We were disappointed it wasn't more. Especially at home, we feel like we can beat anyone.

"We've been on a bad run and it was important not to lose the game. Coming back twice from behind is encouraging.

"But we want to be climbing the league and we need to be winning games for that."
