Ian Holloway has urged Blackpool to make re-signing Brett Ormerod a priority after Danny Coid agreed a new two-year deal.

Holloway knows Ormerod is in demand this summer but the new boss wants to keep the 32-year-old striker on board after a strong end to last season.

He told the Gazette: "Brett is an honest, hard-working lad, who runs, chases and puts his foot in. He always puts a full stint in for the team. That speaks volumes for him, so I look forward to sorting that out.

"The chairman has been dealing with it and is keeping me informed. We need to sort it out as quickly as we can."

Holloway has confirmed Coid will be played as a right-back next season.
