Blackpool are still holding out hope of signing DJ Campbell on a permanent basis as his future at Leicester remains uncertain.

The Seasiders are keen to sign the striker after he impressed while on loan last season but it looked as though the player's refusal to lower his wage demands would scupper a deal.

Campbell is said to be on £9,000 a week and Ian Holloway will not be able to match such terms.

However, there have been suggestions that the player is desperate to get away from the Walkers Stadium and could take a pay cut to join the Seasiders if no other attractive offers come along.
