Striker issues Pool pledge

BlackpoolAlan Gow says he is ready to fight for a place in the Blackpool first team following his super-sub display against Cardiff.

The striker has failed to hit it off at Bloomfield Road after joining on loan from Glasgow Rangers, but came off the bench to grab the equaliser in a 1-1 draw against the Bluebirds.

Gow is now hoping that is a sign of better things to come and wants a regular place in the side.

"The goal is a big thing for me and hopefully it means I will get to play a few games," Gow revealed. "I haven't lost my ability and now I want to show it. It was frustrating at Rangers.

"I had played every game week in, week out before I went there and didn't get so many games, so it's good to come here and get a few games."
