Alonso a no-go for Trotters

Bolton will be without full-back Marcos Alonso for the npower Championship trip to Derby.

The former Real Madrid youngster picked up two yellow cards during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest and must serve a one-match ban.

January signing Craig Davies came off the bench to score for the second successive match at the City Ground and is pushing for a start in attack.

USA international Stuart Holden is available for action as he continues to build fitness following his lengthy knee injury absence, and fellow midfielder Medo Kamara is available to make his debut, although Keith Andrews will be absent from the Wanderers engine room as he continues to nurse thigh and Achilles complaints.

Mark Davies hopes to feature once again having successfully returned from a shoulder problem against Forest.

Defender Matt Mills (thigh) is not yet ready for first-team action but turned out for Bolton's under-21 side on Monday.
