Bolton boss Owen Coyle says they are still waiting to get clearance from FIFA before they can field new signing Gregg Wylde.

Wanderers have signed the winger on a three-year deal after he walked away from crisis club Rangers but they are still waiting for FIFA to rubberstamp the deal.

Until that happens, Coyle is unable to include the player in his matchday squad and is hoping to gain clearance as soon as possible.

"It is still with FIFA," Coyle told the club's website. "We sent all the necessary paperwork over a week ago and we are just waiting the word on that because it is a different situation than normal with his release from Glasgow Rangers."

FIFA are wanting to get clarification that Wylde's exit from Ibrox was by mutual consent before clearing the move.
