Assistant boss Chris Evans has promised Bolton fans that they are aiming to follow up the Sean Davis swoop with more quality signings.

The Trotters completed the signing of the 29-year-old midfielder on a free transfer on Wednesday after he rejected a new deal at Portsmouth.

And after Davis put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract, Evans was quick to confirm that boss Gary Megson is striving to add more new faces to his squad at the Reebok Stadium.

Amid speculation that West Brom stopper Paul Robinson is the next target, Evans told the Bolton News: "Sean is a tremendous acquisition. It also sends out the message that we're very serious about bringing quality players to this football club this summer."
