Bolton have loaned in Cardiff striker Joe Mason until January.

The 22-year-old, who began his career with Plymouth, will be available for the Trotters' next nine Sky Bet Championship fixtures and will return to south Wales on January 5.

Mason will be reunited with Kevin McNaughton at the Reebok Stadium, the Scottish defender having feature in six Bolton games since making the move from the Bluebirds.

Since joining the club in 2011, Mason has played over 70 times for the Bluebirds and scored 18 goals, including the opener in the League Cup final against Liverpool.
