Ryo Miyaichi is determined to breakthrough into Bolton's starting line-up following a stirring start to life in the Premier League.

Miyaichi, on loan until the end of the season from Arsenal, made his top-flight debut in Bolton's 2-1 defeat at home to Wigan on Saturday.

The 19-year-old Japanese winger, on as a half-time sub for Martin Petrov, came close to an equaliser late on, only to be denied by a stunning save by Latics goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi.

"I was happy to be playing and I found out more about the Premier League, but we lost the game so I can't enjoy it too much," Miyaichi told the Bolton News.

"If I had scored then everything would be more positive. Next time I'm sure I can score.

"I have to keep doing what I did against Wigan and hopefully I can get into the team from the start of matches. It's not going to be easy, but I'm learning every day."
