New boy happy at Trotters

BoltonBolton new boy Mustapha Riga is relieved to be a Bolton player after finally completing his move from Levante.

The 26-year-old winger's switch to the Reebok has finally been rubber-stamped after he received international clearance to leave the financially-troubled Spanish side.

After making his debut against Doncaster on Friday evening, Riga got on the scoresheet in his second game against Chorley on Saturday.

He said: "I am glad it's sorted and that is the most important thing. I can say now that I am an official player of Bolton."

The former Dutch Under-21 international had an impressive scoring rate in Spain and hopes to prove himself in the Premier League.

He said: "I am now in Bolton where I hope to give all I can so we can have a good season.

"They (England and Spain) are the two best leagues in the world and all the time these two countries do well in the Champions League and UEFA Cup, so I think I made a good choice coming to the Premier League and Bolton."
